Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Salisbury Companion Care
Salary up to 80k depending on experience
Are you currently working in the city and long for the country life? Or perhaps considering a step up in your career as a vet? Are you driven, efficient, thorough and enjoy the company of colleagues that strive for excellence?
We can offer a fantastic location to work, situated in a popular retail park (with a 24 hour gym next door), based in the beautiful historic city of Salisbury, surrounded by stunning countryside. The New Forest is on our doorstep, Stonehenge is just north of us, London is just over an hour away by train and the coast is a 30 minute drive south.
About Us
We are a busy small animal practice that operate independently with the benefit of a brand support office. Led by our owner and head vet (Cambridge valedictorian), this is an excellent opportunity to join a tight and supportive (freshly refurbished) practice. We are an established, friendly practice with an exceptional reputation, and staff that have been here since we opened 13 years ago. We've never needed to advertise for clients and value our loyal, long standing client base with whom we've cultivated wonderful relationships. We enjoy an independent approach to the practice, but with all the benefits of a support office that goes with our brand. We offer surgical procedures, dental, digital x-ray, ultrasound, with some in house lab testing facilities.
About You
We are seeking an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon, confident in routine surgeries and capable of sole charge, (even though this is rarely the case). Confident working up and managing your own cases with support from an exceptional head vet, team of qualified nurses and support colleagues. No OOH, bank holidays or Sunday working (and currently no Saturdays). We're even interested in hearing from you if you're looking for part time work.
For the right candidate, there is the potential to buy into the practice.
This is a truly exciting opportunity to be part of a special team with a commitment to gold standard animal care, with the competitive salary and generous benefits package and support you would expect from a major industry employer in our sector.
Salary: up to £80,000 p.a. commensurate with experience
Hours: Full time hours preferred (Monday - Friday). No OOH, weekends or emergency work.
Benefits include: CPD allowance, full memberships, pension, exclusive company discounts and rewards, including 20% off at Pets At Home, Groom Room and the Vet Group.
