Veterinary Surgeon
Buckingham vets4Pets
If you are an enthusiastic vet looking to join a great team in a fantastic location, then we have the role for you here at Buckingham Vets4Pets!
You'll be joining a small, hardworking team dedicated to excellent customer service and pet health care. We are made up of 1 vet practice owner, 1 part time vet, 1 practice manager, 3 nurses including our lovely student nurse, 1 veterinary care assistant and 4 receptionists. Our team is supported by an amazing team of locum vets and nurses who work regular days with us, testament to the welcome and support they receive from our permanent colleagues.
Since opening our doors 5 years ago we have grown a lovely client base and have an excellent varied case load for a first opinion practice. We pride ourselves on providing all clients with the highest level of clinical and client care in a professional and reliable manner.
Our modern practice includes a well-equipped operating theatre, multiple consult rooms, digital x-ray, isolation unit, separate dog/cat wards, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory.
The role available can be flexible with working patterns and we are happy to consider full or part time applicants. There are no OOH and we can be flexible with days off and start and finish times, ensuring a good work/life balance is achieved throughout the team. Ideally the weekend rota is built around 1 in 3 weekends' but this is something we are happy to discuss. There is a mixture of consults and ops time, with time to build cases and develop your skills and bonds with clients.
In return, we're looking for a veterinary surgeon with great communication skills and a good grasp of a first opinion practice and capable of sole charge. You will be able to work well within a team who are always on hand to support one another.
You will have the opportunity to work up cases and have a share of routine and non-routine consultations, as well as frequent surgeries.
We believe in career development and will help you grow and achieve career aspirations.
We're also offering a competitive remuneration package including:
There is a genuine warm atmosphere amongst our team and always support available should you need it.
