Want to look forward to going to work each day? Love being part of a team that genuinely cares for each other?

We are looking for a Vet for our Kilmarnock clinic to become part of our professional and forward-thinking team. We want someone who is dedicated to high quality patient care, clinical standards, and most importantly is enthusiastic and passionate about their job. Do not apply if you can't give us that little bit extra that makes our business stand out from our competitors!

A little bit about us
We are a team of fifty colleagues across three practices in Ayrshire who strive each and every day to deliver clinical excellence as well as create the best possible client experience. How do we do this? We believe in teamwork, and we live each day by our practice values, we treat others how we would like to be treated, we have each other's backs, we have fun, we laugh (a lot), we have excellent communication, we encourage each other and most importantly we allow one another balance, between work and life. We know each person is different and what inspires and motivates one person, doesn't necessarily do the same for someone else, that's why we tailor our packages and rotas to each individual colleague to make it personal. We believe in being flexible, understanding, and compassionate and we pride ourselves on this. We truly have a wonderful team so finding the ‘right' person is very important to us.

More about our clinical team
We are a team of 12 Vets and 12 RVN's with a range of interests from acupuncture to surgery with one of our Vet Partners holding a surgery certificate. We have a Clinical Lead Vet in each practice who have been GDP trained and all our practices are RVN training practices. We are passionate about the development of our future Vets and Nurses and specifically dedicate time for this.

A word from our team
Christine Clinical Lead Vet

"I have been at Vets4Pets Ayr for 10 years now which I think shows in itself just how happy I have been here. I started as a fairly inexperienced vet but was given the support I needed to build my confidence and skills to progress to where I am now. My home life has changed considerably during my time here and management have been there to support me every step of the way - through maternity leaves and managing childcare. My rota has been adapted to suit my needs but still allow me to progress at work and receive 2 promotions in that time. Family life is very much a priority for everyone.

We are a very close knit team who enjoy working together and also look after each other. There is always someone there for help or advice with those trickier cases or surgeries".

What we want from you
We ask that you are passionate about the veterinary community, that you have a positive attitude, that you aren't afraid to make changes and are happy to voice your opinion. We want you to use your initiative, share your experience, support your colleagues and be there for them when they need you. You must be a team player and demonstrate this by attending the odd night out, drinks after work and generally enjoy having a good old laugh! We would love you to know what you want and know your balance, tell us and let us help create that, we want honesty!

Freedom and progression
You'll also have access to great equipment to fulfil your role and have a forward thinking team to help you progress. We want someone who can bring their own ideas, take a lead and offer direction/mentorship to our younger colleagues.

We place real importance on ongoing client care and continuity across cases so you can develop your own client base. There's a healthy case load for those who already have/would like to study towards a certificate too.

You will be based at our Kilmarnock practice but have the support of colleagues across all three practices.
