Head Vet Nurse Vacancy, Walton-On-Thames-Surrey

This small animal practice in Walton on Thames is seeking a new Head Nurse to join their friendly, close-knit team. With no OOHs and a salary of up to £37,000!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Nurse to join this progressive, small animal surgery. With varied responsibilities from training nurses, developing staff, administrative tasks as well as a share of surgery, nurse clinics, anaesthetics and much more.

This bright and airy practice set in beautiful Walton on Thames, is well equipped with a variety of facilities, from digital x-ray, echocardiography, ultrasound, in house labs and separate cat and dog wards. With a team of 4 Vets, 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs and a team of support and admin staff this close knit group is seeking a new Head Nurse to join and support them in keeping the standards of care in the practice the highest they can be.

This role would be ideal for any experienced RVN looking for a new, exciting position to make their own and progress their career further. The practice is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is confident in both their clinical competency, as well as their team leading abilities and communication skills.

Key Duties

• This position is full time over a 5 day week with only 1 in 4 Saturdays and no OOHs!

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Registered on the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Ideally a minimum of 4 years experience
