Registered Veterinary Nurse, DentalVets, East Lothian

DentalVets have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

The Role

Blood sampling, anaesthesia, dental radiography, charting, scaling & polishing, assisting with procedures and patient care are a flavour of things our nurses do here on a day-to-day basis.

Our nurses also assist in the running of our courses for vets and nurses in house and externally.

  • This role is a four-day week position, either on a three week rolling rota or a fixed day per week off.
  • We have no weekend or OOH duties.
  • We offer a salary of up to £31,000 for this role.

About Us

DentalVets is a dental and oral surgery referral practice for dogs, cats and zoo animals.

Our operating room is split into three bays that can all run independently at the same time. Each bay has a heated dental table, dental x-ray machine, x-ray processor and patient monitoring.

DentalVets is in Haddington, East Lothian. Haddington is a small town, close to the coast and has easy access into Edinburgh. Our patients come to us from all over Scotland and the north of England.

 About the Team and Culture

The growing DentalVets team currently consists of 4 vets, 6 RVN's, 1 ACA and 7 support staff.

We are a very supportive team who enjoy having fun whilst at work. There is usually always a competition of some sort going on to keep us entertained.

Applicant Requirements

To be successful you would need to be a Registered Veterinary Nurse, and whilst you don't necessarily need to love dentistry just now, it will come- it's infectious! We do need you to strive for a high standard of patient care and want to join a great team.

We would be happy to talk to you or have you visit us informally to discuss the position.
