Veterinary Surgeon
BQP is the largest pig producer in the UK working with over 350 partnership farmers to supply high welfare, quality pork products to premium markets. Part of Pilgrim’s Pride Ltd, we are a totally integrated business and proud of our ‘farm to fork’ approach.
Forward- thinking and leading in the field of ‘out- door born’ pig production, we are now looking to recruit an additional vet to join our progressive veterinary team, to be based in East Anglia.
The successful candidate will join a talented team whose key focus is supporting our farmers in maintaining the highest standard of pig herd health and welfare through the delivery of exemplary clinical standards. You will also be a key member of the broader pig production team, and work alongside our fields, technical and nutritionist teams to drive excellence and continuous improvement throughout our supply chain.
Part of our Veterinary team, you may be an experienced qualified MRCVS vet or more recently qualified, with a real passion to learn within a supportive environment. Regardless of experience it is essential that you have strong communication skills with an ability to build business relationships across our farming community.
You must also have a full drivers’ licence as the role will involve visiting our farmers on a regular basis.
We actively encourage CPD which is paid for by the company, and there is good opportunity to attend conferences throughout the world, as well as benefit from our development programmes.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- On-Call payments
- Company Vehicle
- CPD support
- Membership fees reimbursed
- Relocation package available
