MiNightVet Rotherham (Springfield)

Emergency Night Vet, Springfield Veterinary Group, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, salary up to £70,000 per annum pro rata (DOE)

Our small animal hospital practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon interested in emergency and critical care. You will be part of an extremely friendly and supportive team of Vets, Nurses and Receptionists. We have AVP's in multiple disciplines and ‘outstanding' in all 6 RCVS practice awards! A truly amazing team and practice to be part of!

Rotherham is a large town in South Yorkshire. Offering great commuting links, with frequent trains to Sheffield (15 minutes away) and direct services to London, Leeds and Manchester. Cost of living is very reasonable. We can discuss relocation packages to help you with your move!

At Springfield Vets we strongly believe in offering a great work/life balance; and you will enjoy a one week in six (7 nights on, 35 off) rota pattern. We would also consider a hybrid day-night role for someone looking to earn a full-time salary. You will be part of our well established night service (MiNightVet) and work within a recently refurbished practice. You will benefit from on-call support and fantastic nursing staff, with two nurses during the night, at least one of whom is an RVN. Our patients stay on site with a consistent inpatient team, so you have the opportunity to follow your cases through. We take OOH cases from our own branches as well as six member practices so you will enjoy a busy and varied caseload and have the opportunity to develop your skills. CPD is encouraged with many of our vets working towards certificates.

Some experience is required for this role. To discuss the level of experience we would look for, please contact Shula Berg at shula.berg@cvsvets.com

You will be part of an amazing team at Springfield Veterinary Group. You will also be part of a bigger group which means we can offer you excellent support, career and salary progression, access to a range of in-house CPD and training courses, maternity/paternity leave & pay and a great benefits package which includes a competitive pension scheme, professional fees paid (RCVS/VDS) and bonus scheme.

We love to care for our people, our culture is that of ‘tools not rules' where we want you to enjoy the time you spend at work, enjoy a healthy work/life balance, and where we will offer flexible working (part & full-time options).

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
