Veterinary Surgeon - Full or Part Time - Maidstone Vets4Pets

Maidstone Vets4Pets

Permanent, Full-time

To support us in our exciting future growth plans, our modern and busy practice based in the riverside town of Maidstone is recruiting for a veterinary surgeon to join the team!

We offer:

  • Competitive salary and dependent on experience
  • Generous CPD allowance including certificate funding
  • Full or part time hours (min. 20 hours per week)
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, BSAVA, VDS)
  • 1 in 3 weekends
  • No OOHs
  • Discounts with High Street retailers and restaurants

Our standalone practice in Maidstone is conveniently located for easy access to the beautiful surrounding countryside and beaches and we are also within easy reach of both Gatwick and Heathrow airports and the Eurostar. In addition, we also offer free onsite parking.

You will be joining a talented and friendly team made up of a 5 vets,
a Practice Manager, 1 RVN Head Nurse, 4 RVN, 1 SVN, 3 Patient Care Assistance, 1 Senior Client Care Advisor who manages 4 Client Care Advisors who are also highly skilled and working towards BVRA accreditation.

We hold a variety of interests within the team and three of our vets are studying towards a Certificate.

We are hugely supportive of CPD and ongoing personal and professional development and we are happy to support the study towards certificate level. A particular interest in surgery would be wonderful but not essential!

We see a wide variety of cases in the practice and carry out all routine surgery as well as soft tissue and some basic orthopaedics. We have all of the usual toys including digital X-ray and ultrasound, and we will certainly consider the purchase of further specialist equipment should it benefit the team and practice.

You will need to be confident with all routine surgical and medical
cases but perhaps most importantly, you will be a personable and approachable vet who enjoys building relationships with our lovely patients, clients and the wider team.

We will consider full or part time hours with a weekend rota of 1 in 3. There is minimal sole charge and no OOHs responsibility ensuring both a great work/life balance and the opportunity to bounce ideas around with colleagues.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
