Veterinary Surgeon, Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital
Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The successful candidate will work in our busy tier-3 hospital carrying out both consults and surgeries, with the support of a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
The salary for this role is up to £60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
- 4 days a week (8:30 am-7 pm Full time) (Part-time applicants welcomed)
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30 am - 2 pm)
- 1-10 OOHs with RVN onsite 24 hours caring for inpatients.
We are a modern hospital with the building having only been built in 2015. We are equipped with full lab facilities, a DR x-ray system, dental x-ray, 64-slice CT scanner, a wide range of flexible and rigid endoscopes, ultrasound scanner with colour Doppler, full orthopaedic kit, slit lamp, tonometer team consists of 12 vets,12 registered veterinary nurses, 7 student nurses, and 5 animal nursing assistants.
Among our vets is a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC. Plus, we have regular visits from a Specialist surgeon and referral dermatologist. We receive referrals nationally for exotic pets, radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroid cats and locally for outpatient CT scanning, and some internal medicine and orthopaedic-surgery cases.
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of surgical procedures and medicine, with excellent communication skills. You will be confident working alone and as part of a busy team.
