This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy small-animal RCVS Nurse Training practice based in Dorchester, supporting the town and the surrounding area in Dorset.

We’re a friendly team that includes one full time vet, one weekend vet (long term locum), two RVNs, one student nurse and three reception colleagues. You’ll work in a modern, air-conditioned and purpose-built practice with state-of-the-art equipment including digital x-ray, portable ultrasound, VetAir dental machine, capnograph & pulse oximetry, Doppler BP, high spec microscope and Idexx in-house laboratory.

If you’re looking for great support, you’ll find it here. We offer varied CPD that helps you quickly build your skills and study for certificates. Plus, you’ll be able to benefit from the resources we have as part of the wider Pets at Home group.

Your Skills and Experience

Due to a varied caseload, you’ll need solid experience as a vet with good general surgical and medical skills. Whether you join on a full-time or part-time basis, you’ll need to work a weekend rota but this won’t be expected until Spring 2022. There’s no OOH work required either, so the role is particularly supportive when it comes to your work/life balance.
