Job Details
Applications are invited for a 53-week rotating internship in the Small Animal Referral Hospital at Langford Vets. We are a large and friendly multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the South- West of England and we are the teaching hospital for the University of Bristol’s vet school.
You will rotate through our core disciplines of Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia, Imaging and Neurology. In addition, you will support our primary care out-of-hours service, you will have elective time to spend on other disciplines of your choice and weekly teaching sessions will be provided. You will be an integral member of the team in the hospital, including supporting the nursing teams and assisting with undergraduate teaching of both vet and nurse students during their rotations on clinics.
Our programme is suitable for those looking to progress their careers by undertaking a residency or those who want to improve their skills as general practitioners.
Applicants must be eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practice in the UK and must have at least one year’s experience working in primary care practice.
