The Role

As Clinical Director you’ll be responsible for ensuring the vet rota is organised and adequate cover is provided for all practices. Your role will be split evenly between clinical and managerial duties.

You’ll be responsible for the mentoring and development of the less experienced vets that are on the team. We can offer a wide and varied caseload along with a good level of surgical work.

You will be responsible for practice leadership and for the efficient and profitable provision of clinical care, liaising with IVC Evidensia business support and networking with your fellow Clinical Directors within the group.

This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior vet that’s looking to progress their career to a Clinical Director level. 

What can Adams offer you?

  • A salary of up to £73,000 depending on experience, along with a welcome bonus of £5000 (pro rata).

About the Rota

The practices are open 6 days per week between the hours of 8am-6.30pm. No out of hours. A full time role would involve working a 40 hours per week, we’re flexible with shift patterns/hours. There is a requirement for 1:3 Saturday morning consults, no out of hours required with this role. 

About Us

Adams Veterinary Surgery is a busy, progressive 2 branch practice based in Liverpool. We have a friendly, supportive team that work up cases to a high standard. We encourage and support further education and learning. We are looking for a passionate and driven Clinical Director to lead our team and expand the services we offer. This role would suit someone with leadership experience or someone stepping up into leadership for the first time. We can offer full training and support if required.

At Adams Vets, we work as one team split between our two branches, Fazakerley and Wavertree. Our Fazakerly Clinic is situated in North Liverpool with excellent transport links to the surrounding area and free parking on site. Both sites also offer easy access to Liverpool and Manchester airport, for those all-important holidays!

 If your pastimes are leisurely both sites are within easy reach of great retail therapy at either Liverpool one or the Trafford Centre in Manchester, or theatres such as Liverpool Empire, or galleries like the Tate at Albert Dock If you prefer to be a bit more energetic there are lots of golf clubs close by, great walking on some fantastic beaches, including the famous Formby beach with its Anthony Gormley sculptures.

A bit further afield you can reach North Wales, with fantastic walking around Snowdon. Our clinics are equipped with radiography, ultrasonography, tonometry, microscopy, full laboratory, dedicated inpatient wards, operating theatres, and consulting rooms. 

About the Team and Culture

We have 5 vets, 6 RVNs and 6 wonderful support staff based across two branches. We are supportive and have a wide range of experience within our team. We are passionate about using our skills and knowledge to improve patient care and welfare.
