The Company:

GVC are working exclusively with a veterinary educational prover to search for an Academic and Content Director.  This exciting new role is a non-clinical leadership position within the veterinary education field. It would be particularly appealing to a veterinary surgeon with extensive experience both in a clinical and academic background.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Overall responsibility for the delivery and quality of the course content and development Lead a team both in the UK and overseas  Hold regular meetings with other key stakeholders in the business to execute the strategic plan Conduct research and identify new training opportunities that can add to a growing portfolio of postgraduate programs for veterinary professionals Ensuring that the training programs will meet and exceed the agreed academic standards Report to the board monthly concerning the key metrics within the department Maintain and build relationships with vet schools internationally

To be successful you will need:

 

  • MRCVS qualification in Veterinary Science 5 years + postgraduate experience Excellent understanding of educational content production particularly digital learning products. Strong commercial acumen and strategic awareness Good understanding of academic processes including accreditation, validation and awards. Experience in delivering digitally focussed education programmes in a post graduate environment Project management skills and interest in product development Experienced in working with universities in the academic accreditation process Possess excellent problem-solving skills Strong commercial acumen

Benefits:

 

  • Salary range: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, plus a performance related bonus c.£10,000. Annual leave: 25 days, plus bank holidays. Standard allowance increases after 5 years continuous service. Benefits: RCVS fees paid, CPD allowance negotiable, private health care, 9% total pension contribution. Employment: Full time, hybrid working Travel requirements: Requirement to make quarterly visits European offices for 2-3 days.
