The Role

Here at Haven Vets an opportunity for a full time, small animal Veterinary Surgeon has become available to join our busy team situated by the coast in South Wales. The role will include a mix of consulting and surgical work unless discussed otherwise and for more experienced Vets there are opportunities to tailor your role.

The successful candidate would work a four-day week between Monday-Friday and 1:7 Saturday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm. There are no out of hours involved.

The salary would be based on experience ranging from £40,000-£60,000 depending on experience.

About Us

Haven Vets is situated at the coast undergoing exciting developments and a offering new and exciting working environment. The practice has all the usual facilities and equipment including on site endoscope, ultrasound, laparoscope, X-ray machine, a separate non sterile room situated away from our double theatre and prep room, designated diagnostic room leading into the X-ray room, a fully equipped laboratory located down the hall from our Isolation room, a large board room upstairs to hold team meetings and in house cpd.

We also have a veterinary ambulance that enables us to transport patients and medication around our branches.

Our 31-member team consist of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, some who hold certificates in surgery and diagnostics. We have a team of 9 Nurses consisting of 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 1 Animal Nursing Assistant, 1 Practice Manager, an Office Manager, Veterinary Administrator, Veterinary Pharmacy Lead, a Head Receptionist, Branch Reception Lead and 8 Receptionists.

The successful candidate is required to be enthusiastic with an excellent work ethic and able to communicate well within our large team. New graduates and experienced Vets make up our welcoming, supportive practice and this allows us to offer this post to both new graduates as well as experienced Vets.
