At Vetfinders we are helping a practice in North Somerset find their next hire. This is a hospital based independent practice, with 4 branches, located in the popular town of Nailsea. This family feel practice is well established in the local area and boasts a close-knit team of experienced veterinary professionals.

The Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be confident and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures expected in a high end first opinion practice. There is full involvement in the operational clinical side of the business which includes support of junior colleagues with the objective of optimising teamwork.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis, with 40 hours per week but in order to create the ideal work life balance, all aspects of the rota will be discussed and are negotiable to suit you and the practice.

Development and progression are important to the practice, as they continue to grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing and new clients to maintain the excellent standard of patient care that they have come to expect.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, but less would be considered for the right person. A bonus would be someone with, in progress or wishing to start a cert in SA surgery.

About the practice:

We are an independent practice with a focus on encouraging and supporting vets to develop their own skills by providing all the facilities they need to work up their own cases in conjunction with our wonderful clients. Our hospital, based at Nailsea, has a fantastic nursing team and all the ‘toys’ needed to provide top quality veterinary services to our clients including our own CT, MRI, Digital dental X rays, Digital X ray, Laparoscopy, Video endoscopy, IR laser and multi probe ultrasound. Our four branches provide routine and preventative health to our clients in North Somerset. We are currently cover our own very light out of hours commitments.

The team consists currently of 8 Vets, 6 RVN’s, 3 SVN’s, 5 ACA’s and a large, supportive team of receptionists; lots of experience to learn from and ask for advice
