The Petplan Charitable Trust invites applications for scientific study awards for dogs, cats, horses and rabbits.

Applications are invited for the following:

• Awards for pilot studies up to £10,000. Pilot studies usually run for 1 year. It is envisaged that some of these pilot studies will lead to larger research projects.
• Awards for larger studies which may run from 1 to 3 years. These require an initial application form. Successful initial applications will proceed to full written application and interview.

Subjects should be of accepted clinical importance and of concern to the general public and studies must be of a non-invasive nature.

Applicants in private practice MUST provide written ethical approval for the proposed study from the RCVS 

The closing dates are as follows: 

Initial Applications: Monday 5 December 2022
Pilot Studies: Monday 27 March 2023
