The role:

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our long-standing and close knitted team at Medivet Orpington in South East London. 

Medivet Orpington, formerly Ashmore Vets have a wonderful, experienced three-vet team made up of Kylie, Diarmaid, and Sarah. We have a fantastic nursing and support team made up of our Practice Manager, Student Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and Receptionists. 

We have a high surgical caseload, we do a lot of neutering, and also work for two local charities. Dermot had a certificate in Emergency Medicine and Kylie has a keen interest in Ophthalmology and Acupuncture. 

Someone interested in Cardiology or Internal Medicine would complement our team's skill set well however we can also consider a confident recent graduate. 

Full-time salary package up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience to include:

• - 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays

Medivet Orpington is equipped with all the usual kits, in-house blood machines, digital X-rays, and ultrasounds. 

The practice feeds into our well-established Beckenham 24h Hospital for out-of-hour care, managed by our dedicated night team. All our practices share the same software, so the team will have access to your patient's history at all times; case continuity is guaranteed! 

Orpington is a fantastic place to live! We are close enough to London to be able to enjoy all that it has to offer, city lovers can be on London Bridge in just 30 min while nature lovers have the National Trust - Petts Wood and Hawkwood right on your doorstep! We're also nearby to the lovely countryside, some of our team have horses so it's a great place to pursue this hobby.
