The Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our lovely, passionate team here at Norwood Road Vets! You will assist in both consults and surgeries and will continue to grow our nurse clinics alongside other members of our team. Quality clinical care for all pets and an outstanding client ethos are important to us.

This is a full time or part time position with flexibility over working days / hours. Our current full-time shifts are 40 hours per week covering Monday to Friday between 8:30am-4pm or 11:30am – 7:00pm, 1:3 Saturday mornings between 8:45am-12:45pm, (may become 1:4 in the future) with no OOH.

The salary for this role is up to £32,000 depending on experience

About Us

We have been established for 21 years with a loyal client base and we are seen as part of the community with an excellent reputation. The surgery is situated on the Tulse Hill / Herne Hill border in London next to Brockwell Park, with access to great transport links.

We are a busy, 100% small animal focused practice dealing with a wide range of routine and challenging cases. Our success and growth are achieved by looking after our clients, their pets and supporting our colleagues. We also support the IVC Graduate programmes as well as being an RVN training practice.

The surgery houses all the usual equipment. Our digital x-ray (including dental) and ultrasound are all Dicom enabled and linked into our Consulting rooms. In house blood machines, multi parameter monitoring equipment, and more. Dedicated surgical, dental and imaging areas plus separate cat and dog wards and consulting rooms.

We are a Registered Training Practice and offer support and encouragement to our team to further their professional development.

About the Team and Culture

You will be joining a supportive team made up of 3 full time Vets, 1 Head Nurse, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Receptionist, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses. Our new Clinical Director is due to join us in January and they bring a wealth of experience to the practice. We will also be joined by a Senior Vet in January so it’s an exciting time to join our growing team. We offer support and encouragement to our team to further their professional development.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be a confident and enthusiastic Nurse – registered with the RCVS. We would also welcome 3rd year Student Veterinary Nurse applicants.
