Veterinary Surgeon

We have an opportunity available for an enthusiastic all-rounder to join our expanding team. The position would suit a new graduate looking for the perfect start to their career or a recently qualified vet wanting to move to a more supportive and forward thinking practice.

We are an independent practice with a family feel offering the true mixed practice experience we all envisaged as we entered vet school.

The position will include supported out of hours work on an approximately 1 in 6 basis giving our vets the best opportunity to learn and see a variety of cases while offering a fantastic service to our loyal client base.

We have 24 hours nursing and provide full back up by a clinical director OOH. In our team we have an excellent blend of experience and youth to provide support in work and social activities outside of work including the odd “tough mudder” or two!

• True mixed practice experience.
• Long established, proudly independent, mixed practice in small friendly town of Neath, South Wales, with lots of local amenities, beaches and mountains close by.
• Experienced team members with certificate holders in beef cattle production, Small animal Surgery, orthopaedics and medicine to provide guidance where needed.
• 24 hour onsite nursing.
• Maximum 1 in 6 OOH weeknights + 1 in 8 split weekend nights OOH.
• Working 4 weekdays (9-6) and 1 in 4 weekends (mornings) plus shortened shift after night duties.
• Salary 37-58k dependent on experience/ further qualifications/ start date.
• 33 days holiday, RCVS, VDS, BVA fees all paid and enhanced company sick pay package.
• Will consider experienced vets as well as 2022 or 2023 graduates with flexible start dates following graduation to suit.
