The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Stanstead Abbotts. Stanstead Abbotts is part of the Enfield region within Medivet and works closely with our Enfield 24-hour hospital. We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who has good general practice knowledge and is confident with working up medical cases to a high standard as well as performing routine surgeries. This role will be ideal for someone with at least 1 year of UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience.

You will work sole charge in a supportive environment and a great team of nurses with lots of opportunities to improve your skills and confidence, one day a week you will have a more experienced vet alongside. The role will involve consulting, routine surgery as well as taking part in the weekend, bank holidays, and on-call rota (average 2-3 weeks on-call per year).
The role is full-time working 4 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays. One of the days is likely to be at a nearby branch.

The practice is growing so we are in the process of acquiring larger premises. Once we move the practice will have 2 vets every day.

  • - Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum (FTE)
