Salary:                 From £45-55k pa, Dependent on Experience

Hours:                  Permanent, 25-40 hours per week,  1 in 2 Saturday morning only, no OOHs/ Sun or B/H’s

Location:             Bilston, near Wolverhampton, West Midlands

The role:

This role is to join a small but very experienced team, as Veterinary Surgeon you will ideally be a minimum of 5 years post graduate, hold RCVS in the UK, and be happy to join a successful and well-respected independent practice.

The role is in Small Animal only, first opinion. They need someone who enjoys both consults and surgeries, and is capable of sole charge. You will be given autonomy and clinical freedom in this role, as well as have the capacity to grow and develop particular interests.

• A permanent contract, working 3 days per week, plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings There is flexibility on the hours and working days, but minimum 1 in 2 Saturday mornings is a must. Usual hours 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 2pm Saturday morning.

The Practice:

This practice has long been established in the Bilston area for over 40 years and is steady away with a loyal client base. The team are very experienced and supportive, consisting of 2 vets (one director and one long term locum), and 4 very experienced RVNs (including the other Director of the practice). The pace of the practice is not hectic they enjoy a healthy balance of hard work and dedicated approaches, but also value breaks and the ability to share work load and expertise.

Based in Bilston, West Midlands, they pride themselves on offering a more personal approach to both their clients and their pets. Fiercely independent the practice is run by the current Owners, and due to retirement of one Vet they are looking to recruit. There may be partnership options in the future also.
