Job Details
About us:
We are looking for a well-rounded Veterinary Surgeon to join our large team across our Leominster and Ludlow branches.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside 5 other experienced vets and a team of 9 nurses and 8 reception/admin staff. There may be some sole charge at our Ludlow branch, but you will be well supported by the team at Leominster as well as the regional team.
Although we would ideally be looking for a full-time candidate, we can also offer flexibility with this role and are open to candidates who want to work part-time for the right fit. This role does include being involved in a fair share of the on-call rota, and a Saturday on a 1 in 6 basis. Our nurses take the OOH phones and senior vets provide full back-up to the on-call vets, together with an on-call nurse.
We are a busy, friendly practice with a varied caseload and all vets are actively encouraged to pursue their chosen area of interest with clinical freedom. The candidate ideally would be an experienced vet; however, recent graduates or new graduates are encouraged to apply. We are extremely supportive of any vets who also want to complete certificates and we have onboard our team certificate holders in SA medicine and radiography.
The role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and loyal team in Leominster and Ludlow

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience. This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a multi-vet environment with the ability to make a sound clinical judgment. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.
Career progression is actively promoted, and partnership opportunities are available for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.
This role is a 4-day week giving you excellent work/life balance with 1:6 full weekends.
Salary & Benefits:
- - Salary package of up to £64,100 per annum depending on experience
- - 5 weeks' annual leave
- - 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after every 5 years of service)

- - Vehicle allowance or Company Vehicle
