Medivet have an opportunity for an veterinary surgeon to join the team at our practice in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, on a full or part-time basis.

In this role you'll be able to deliver exceptional care, from routine health checks to advanced surgeries. You'll work directly with clients and patients to ensure they are looked after to the highest standard. 

Salary package up to £55,000 PA, including:

- Accommodation allowance.

Key accountabilities:

- Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and patients.
- Assess, examine and diagnose patients medical issues.
- Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds.
- Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
- Prescribe medication.
- Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
- Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock.
- Euthanise patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies and procedures.
- Maintain patients medical records.

Skills and experience:

- RCVS registered.
- Qualified MRCVS.
- Commitment to animal welfare.
- Ability to keep on top of practice protocols and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills.

Branch:

Medivet Stapleford is based in a prominent position on Stapleford's main street. On the edge of Nottingham, it has great access to the M1 and the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

The branch has a stable team, is well equipped and is in plans to undergo full refurbishment.
