Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Celyn Vet Group, Prestatyn
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. This position is primarily based at our Prestatyn branch, but flexibility to cover shifts at our Holywell branch also is required. Your day-to-day duties will include nurse clinics, inpatient care, anaesthesia, stock control, laboratory, and the option
of schedule three duties.
The role is full-time, working 40 hours over 5 days per week, between 8 am-7 pm Monday-Friday. There is a requirement to work 1:4 Saturdays between 8 am-12 pm at our Holywell branch, but no out of hours work.
The salary for this role is up to £25,000 depending on experience.
Celyn Vet Group has two, well-established veterinary practices in Holywell and Prestatyn, in the beautiful area of North Wales. Our surgeries are close to the border and the A55, with links to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester nearby – for those who prefer the city environment. However, we are well located for those who enjoy the
rural side of life, with plenty of countryside and hill walking areas.
We offer the highest standards of first opinion care to small animals, investing in our practice, patient care and our team is important to us. Therefore, we would be keen to support your expertise and incorporate any areas of interest into the services our practice already provides. Both of our surgeries are fully equipped with all the usual toys including; in-house blood and lab facilities for routine work, dental radiography, ultrasound and x-ray facilities.
About the Team and Culture
The successful applicant will be joining our hardworking and valued team. We pull together and support each other when things get difficult and are more like a family than co-workers! Our friendly team is 14 strong and consists of; 1 Clinical Director, 1 Vet, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Head Veterinary Nurse, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 5 Receptionists and 1 Animal Care Assistant.
Not only are we blessed to have such a great team, but we also have a fantastic and loyal client base. We see many returning clients over the years, meaning we get to care for our patients from puppies/kittens to their senior years! We are passionate about preventative healthcare and nutrition and mainly care for small animals and wildlife.
We are looking for a friendly and competent Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for patient care and client education. This position would suit an experienced RVN or a newly qualified nurse looking to gain experience in a supportive environment. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional people skills and be passionate about gold standard care. A driving license is essential to be able to travel between our 2 branches.
