Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic vet to lead the team at our 24-hour Birstall Hospital. Our Lead Vets are responsible for directing the practice and its staff to provide the very best care to clients and pets. You will be the first port of call for the practice team from a clinical and leadership standpoint, working closely with the Practice Manager and Head Nurse to ensure the team feel supported and valued.

You’ll also have an active interest in the financial aspects of running of the practice and will be rewarded for its success. We offer full training and support in this role and regular meetings with your Regional Operations Director to ensure that you feel fully supported and that you have all the tools that you need for success.

 

Salary package up to £80,000 per annum depending on experience, to include:

- 5 weeks' annual leave (FTE)
- 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)

Branch:

Medivet Birstall is a well-established practice and operates as one of our 24-hour practices which are open 365 days a year. The practice is equipped with the latest technology including ECG, In-house laboratory, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dentistry equipment and Ultrasound. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team of day and night staff. The practice sees a busy and varied caseload and is a training practice for nurses and Vets training on our Graduate Support Programme.

The practice is located just off the A6 and is a short distance from the A46, A607 and on-site parking for staff and customers. The practice is opposite a parade of shops with places to eat, supermarkets, cafes, banks and more all within walking distance.
