The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our 4 vet Medivet Ramsbottom branch in Bury, Greater Manchester. Due to our practice relocating we are expanding in October 2022.

Working alongside Kay and Ian our very experienced branch partners, you would be fully supported in your role and part of a team committed to providing excellent client and patient care. Ian (Branch Partner) and Alice (Assistant Vet) are now CertAVP and awaiting their synoptic exam next year to become Advanced Practitioners with Kay still working towards her Cert AVP. 

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years’ experience, looking for the support needed to further their career. The role will function in an environment where colleagues support each other by sharing skills and knowledge, to give our patients the best outcomes. The successful candidate will have great communication skills and will be confident with routine surgery and diagnostics.

This role is 39 hours a week, including 1:3 weekends. The hours are spread over a 4-day week, offering a great work life balance. The practice can also consider a part-time vet if you would like to discuss hours please email carlie.smith@medivet.co.uk

Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £55,000 dependent on experience

Accommodation allowance of £6,600

Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Enhanced maternity and paternity leave

Certificate of Sponsorship available on a tier 2 visa along with relocation allowance 

 

Branch:

Ramsbottom is a busy, first opinion multi vet practice situated in the middle of the town so lots of places to eat and shop very close by with close links to Manchester and 30 mins from Manchester airport. Situated in a rural location there is lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep, with the peak district and lake district within an hours drive.

We are fully equipped to carry out medical workups and surgical procedures and you would be fully supported by our team of 5 vets and nurses. Equipment of the branch include: ECG/X-Ray/Ultrasound/Operating theatre. The new premises include 4 consulting rooms, a separate cat waiting area and cat ward, and we are looking to become a "Cat Friendly Practice"
