The Role
Here at Wellpets, we are recruiting for a Nursing Manager/Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our wonderful team at our Sittingbourne site. The role involves both aspects of nursing and management of the day to day running of the clinic. We are an adaptable practice and open to positive change, this role being a key part of that, offering the opportunity to develop nursing clinics whilst using initiative to promote new ideas to better our service.
Our new Nursing Manager/Head Registered Veterinary Nurse will have great work life balance with this full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with 1:4 weekends and no OOH.
Salary
Salary for the role is up to £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
About Us
Wellpets are a group of 3 small animal branches in Kent. We have excellent facilities such as, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and brand-new in-house lab with a well-established team of friendly staff at all of our branches. With great train links to London, award winning Blue Flag beaches and Elmley Nature Reserve nearby, Sittingbourne is a lovely place to be.
About the Team and Culture
We have a long-standing team of 4 Vets, 3 RVN, 1 SVN, 2 ANA and 5 support staff working across our 3 sites. Our Vets interests vary from medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound. We also have a Vet with a GP certificate in Cardiac Ultrasound. We encourage our Nurses to use their skills and knowledge within practice through nurse clinics, advising clients about their pet’s health and welfare and supporting the Vet team.

Applicant Requirements
The ideal candidate will have small animal experience and some management experience. However, if your management experience is only small the practice will provide support with management training. You must be a qualified Veterinary Nurse. We encourage career development and welcome applications from clinical coaches or nurses who wish to be more involved in the management of the nursing team. We are hoping our new Nursing Manager has a positive can-do attitude and is an excellent communicator.
