The Role 

We have an exciting opportunity here at Hall Place Veterinary Centre for a Veterinary Surgeon.

Your day-to-day duties will involve a mix of consultations and surgery days, requiring some sole charge work. The successful candidate will be responsible for the workup and care of patients that they see and admit into the practice. The successful applicant would be working across at least two sites. Some sole charge will be expected for branch work so 3-4 years plus experience ideal.

The shift patterns are as follows: 36hrs over a 4-day week - 8am - 5.30pm, 8.30am - 6.30pm, 8.30am - 8pm (1:3).

One full weekend, one Saturday, one Saturday am, in 10 weeks and no OOH is required.

Salary

Salary of up to £55,000 commensurate with experience.

About Us

We are a four-site practice with branches in Marlow, Bourne End and Stokenchurch.  

Our main site at Pinkneys Green is a converted barn on a farm in rural surroundings. This includes a separate cattery & kennels, two theatres, separate dental suite with dental radiography and ultrasound rooms. We also have a mixture of equipment such as Digital X-ray, Endoscope, and Laparoscope along with full lab facilities. 

Support from other 12 vets including ortho AVP, cardiology, ophthalmology & two medicine cert holders.

About the Team and Culture

Our team currently consists of 13 vets, 15 nurses and 13 support staff. We strive to deliver gold standard care to our patients wherever possible. We do all we can to offer personalised attention to each animal in our care and believe patient continuity is a very important part of this and also feel it improves job satisfaction. We are a close knit team who enjoy working together.

Applicant Requirements 

The successful candidate will be a RCVS registered vet with enough experience to run a branch sole charge if required and to include being competent at routine surgery.

You will be caring, confident and have lots of enthusiasm with great team and client communication skills.
