Church Walk (Ulverston)

Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Cumbria - Full or Part-Time - NO OOH - Relocation Allowance up to £4k - Fully funded Visa sponsorship available - Salary negotiable, dependent on experience

An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Church Walk Veterinary Centre, a two centre small animal practice based in the small market town of Ulverston, with a busy branch in Barrow in Furness on a full or part-time basis. We pride ourselves on first class clinical and client services. You will be supported by a fantastic team of RVN's, Head Nurse, Lead Vet and Practice Director and we pride ourselves on our staff retention, with most of our team having been with us between 5 - 40 years!

The charming, bustling, Market Town of Ulverston is famous as the birthplace of Stan Laurel, and is known as the “Festival Town”. The town has a cobbled Market Square many specialist shops and several restaurants and pubs. The stunning Lake District National Park is only a 20 minute drive away, with unlimited options for hiking, cycling, climbing etc. making this a haven for outdoor enthusiasts! Junction 36 of the M6 can be reached within 30 minutes, giving easy access to visit Scotland and other parts of England.

We are looking for a passionate individual, with at least 1-2 years' post qualification experience to join our Vet and Nursing team who pride themselves on clinical excellence. We will also consider a confident new or recent Graduate Vet. Full-time or part-time hours can be accommodated. You will be required to work a share of weekends on a rota basis.

Here's what one of our Vets has to say: “ I have known Church Walk Vets for many years both as a student and a qualified vet. I can honestly say there is no other veterinary practice in the area I would rather work. We are a very close-knit team who always encourage and support each other in every way we can. Something I haven't experienced at the same level in other practices. I have always felt truly appreciated by management. As a working mum, it has been important to achieve a good work/life balance. I have found that Church Walk has strived to accommodate flexible working hours wherever possible”

Salary is negotiable dependent on experience.

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
