Camlas Petcare Vets

Are you a Small Animal Vet looking for a new role within a supportive and experienced team on Welsh/Shropshire Border?

If so, come and join our close-knit team who want to support you both professionally and personally. Relocation package up to £3000 available!

We are a small animal practice based in Welshpool. We have a close-knit team of 4 vets with a fantastic support team of RVN's, SVN, PCA and receptionists. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and flexible environment to help fit around childcare commitments and pursuing clinical and non-clinical interests. As a practice we have a mixture of interests, we have surgery and dentistry certificate holders, vets working in education, but most importantly we pride ourselves on being well rounded GP vets.

We have no OOH and work a 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 8.30-1pm.

We are looking for a 2+ year graduated vet, but experienced recent graduates also welcome. Ideally looking for a full-time Vet, but part-time hours equally considered.

We can offer:
  • 15 minute consultations as standard. 30 minutes for bloods, ears, eyes and complex medical cases
  • Purpose built practice with in house digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasounds, in-house lab machines and dedicated dental and theatre suites
  • Progressive small animal practice with 2 certificate holders
  • Team of skilled RVN's performing schedule 3 to include lump removals, surgical biopsies, FNA's, and dental scale and polishes
  • Caring reception team who always provide snacks, tea and coffee on manic days!
  • Staff outings ranging from nights out to torch-led hill walks
  • Salary: £35,000- £60,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
  • CPD allowance, pension, Perkbox, CVS Sharesave scheme
  • Subsidised private medical insurance, critical illness covers and life insurance

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
