Medivet Matlock have an opportunity for an RVN to join the team on a twelve month fixed term basis with the possibility of a permanent role once completed.

This role would suit someone looking to work in busy and well run environment with a really supportive team ethos who is confident with nursing clinics and ideally would like to clinical coach our enthusiastic student nurses. The practice is mixed animal so if you're looking for a varied caseload and an opportunity to grow your skills we've got you covered!

Starting salary of £30,000 PA

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term role working 40 hours a week and 1:4 weekends.

Key accountabilities:

- Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care.
- Training of junior nurses & supporting students in practice.
- Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions.
- Nurse consultations.

Skills and experience:

- RCVS registered.
- Commitment to animal welfare.
- Ability to keep on top of practice protocols and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills.

Branch:

The recently refurbished Matlock practice is situated in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, on the edge of the Peak District. We provide both large and small animal services to the surrounding area. The team currently consists of four vets (two mixed, one large and one small) A head nurse, two client care assistants and two patient care assistants.
