Job Type: Permanent (Full-time & part time applications 3-5 days welcome)

Hours: 3 or 4-day working week, 1:4 Sat am, 1:16 Saturday full days and 1:15 Sunday (paid extra with a bonus)

We have all the usual kit including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, CT, ASIF and Synthes kits, TPLO/TTA/Tightrope, arthroscopy and Biomedtrix THR kit.

You will join a friendly and enthusiastic team of vets (including certificate holders) and nurses (including two surgical diploma holders), as part of a longstanding referral service, backed up by a dedicated first opinion team and our own on-site OOH service

Your role and responsibilities

Due to continued success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for Surgery Certificate Holder, Referral Veterinary Surgeon to join us at our Glenfield Hospital.

We are a training practice and work closely with local universities & training colleges. Our fantastic team is very supportive, and we pride ourselves on working well as a team.

  • Based in our busy veterinary hospital in Glenfield, you will join two referral surgeons in driving the service forward in both Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic disciplines. This position is for an experienced referral surgeon, you will be expected to manage both an internal and external referral caseload and must be keen to mentor other orthopaedic vets currently within the practice. There are opportunities to deliver external CPD to local referring practices.
  • The ideal candidate for the role will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an Orthopaedic and Soft tissue certificate holder, keen and able to mentor others within the referral team
