Job Details

Our client is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join their veterinary hospital based in Brooklyn.

This particular practice has won many awards over the years and continues to provide fantastic care and customer service to Brooklynite's and their pets!
The main aim and focus for our client is simple, to provide high quality, compassionate care in a safe and calming environment. You will be joining a thriving team and providing the quality of care that has led to the exceptional reputation that the hospital is known for.

The hospital offers several services including:

  • Surgical Services - neuters, spays and some extensive surgeries such as knee & hip procedures
  • Laser Therapy - This non-invasive treatment will reduce pain and inflammation whilst speeding up recovery
  • Dental Procedures - Dental surgery & Dental Cleaning
  • Behavioural counselling - To help with anxiety, aggression, inappropriate urination and a variety of other behavioural disorders.
  • Emergency services - are available for existing clients and patients.
     

Key Duties
You will be expected to provide wellness and sick examinations as well as lameness assessments, vaccinations, blood work, behavioural counselling, and urine testing. You will also be expected to carry out Diagnostic testing such as blood and urine abnormalities, and routine vaccinations.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  • Active Veterinary State License
  • Current DEA License (can be obtained upon hire)
  • USDA Accreditation (can be obtained upon hire)
  • Experience preferred but new graduates seeking mentorship are welcome to apply
