Service-Specific Veterinary Nurse Internships

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) curious about referral work?

Do you have a keen interest in and passion for a specific area of veterinary medicine?

The Ralph is an independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre for dogs and cats. Our hospital is in Marlow, Bucks, west of London. It is just off the A404 with easy access from the M4 and M40 motorways.

Our ongoing Rotating Nurse Internship programme has been a great success. We are very excited to now be launching our Service-Specific Nurse Internship programme.

Who are these new internships aimed at?

Registered Veterinary Nurses with no prior canine/feline referral experience who are curious about referral work and have a passion for a specific area of veterinary medicine.

How does it work?

Our new service-specific nurse internships will last for six months. You will spend this time working in a specific clinical service/team. You will receive full training, support and mentorship from our Senior Nurses, Nurse Training Coordinators, other experienced nurses and clinicians. By the end of your internship, you will have the knowledge, skills and ability for referral-level nursing.

At the end of the six-month period, we guarantee you a permanent position in the service/team in which you did your internship. This is subject to satisfactory performance.

• Theatre and Anaesthesia
• Cardiology
• Dentistry
• Internal Medicine
• Neurology/Neurosurgery
• Oncology
• Ophthalmology

Salary:

• Internship - £25,000
• First six months in permanent role - £28,000
• Thereafter £30,000
