The role:

Joining our professional, personable team at our Leamington Spa, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listening and empathising, putting patients and clients first, as always.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team. Salary package up to £60,000 Depending on experience:

  • - 5 weeks' annual leave

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Medivet Leamington Spa is a modern 24-hour Veterinary Hospital that offers a safe and secure working environment in the heart of the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire close to Stratford-upon-Avon and its theatres. Leamington Spa has excellent road links close to the M1, M40, M6, and Birmingham Airport is just a 30-minute drive.

Our busy RCVS accredited multidisciplinary Hospital is fully equipped with digital x-ray facilities including dental X-ray, ECG, ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, bronchoscope, multiparameter monitor, and well-equipped for laparoscopic and orthopaedic surgeries. Other facilities include 3 consult rooms, 1 dental room, a theatre, an imaging room, a full in-house lab, and separate cat and dog kennel areas as well as isolation kennels and recovery kennels in a large prep room with 2 additional work stations.

You will be fully supported within your role by 14 other Dip AVN's/RVN's/SVN and support staff. We have a dedicated Client Care Assistant team at the Hospital therefore no reception duties will be required within your role.  

The role will be supporting 10 FTE vets, including certificate holders and others working towards certification.

Our 24-hour centre in Leamington Spa is just one of 25 across the country that supports our practice network in the region, we have a dedicated night team in place who are responsible for dealing with all out-of-hour care within both the hospital and the surrounding Medivet clinics.
