The Role

Pride Vets are looking for a dynamic nurse to join their night team, our Night Nurses assist the Night Veterinary Surgeon with any medical or surgical procedures that need to be performed. Responsibilities are numerous and varied so a great deal of flexibility and patience is required, in addition to being able to maintain records accurately and administer medications correctly. Under the guidance of the Veterinary Surgeon and in accordance with individual experience, our nurses can perform schedule 3 procedures.

All newly hospitalised cases must be passed over to a Scarsdale vet the following morning. It takes a very special person to work nights. Could that be you? Working 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, you will be in the same team every time, so you get the opportunity to bond as a cohesive force.

The salary for this role is up to £26,633 depending on experience.

About Us

Pride Veterinary Centre offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment and team. Our diagnostics and treatment are second to none and we have many highly trained and experienced nurses to ensure that our patients receive the very best treatment.

We strive to deliver world-class patient care and our fantastic facilities provide a superb care environment, including 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres, a full advanced imaging suite, 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, hydrotherapy pool and treadmills and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms define the setting.

About the Team and Culture

Night work doesn’t include any of the regular appointments or animal MOTs. It’s very dependent on what arrives at the Practice on any given evening, or what cases there are already within our wards requiring care, so this role would suit someone who likes both a varied and reactive environment.

The team currently consists of a Vet, 3 Nurses, 2 Kennel Assistants and one intern. We also have students on rotation from the University of Nottingham.
