Job Details

Holmefield Vets are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and progressive team. This role will entail a mix of consults and surgical cases, however the clinical duties and rota pattern can be tailored based on your professional interests. We aim to create a work/life balance that suits your lifestyle, and work collaboratively as a team to ensure the best standards of care for our clients.

You will work closely alongside our other vets, benefiting from outstanding nursing support across the board in our recently extended and upgraded premises with a good range of equipment. There are no OOH with this post. 

Salary: up to £60K DOE plus benefits. Welcome bonus of £5K available to the successful applicant.

About Us

Holmefield is a friendly and long established 100% Small Animal practice sitting within the heart of our semi-rural community but within close proximity to the vibrant cities of York and Leeds, the North Yorkshire Moors and the East Coast with easy access to all that Yorkshire has to offer.

Our purpose built and recently extended and renovated premises provide us with the perfect working environment and enable us to practice a high standard of first opinion care. We have all the usual equipment readily to hand to enable us to offer the complete, efficient, and comprehensive service that we know is relied upon by our loyal client base.

Our dedicated team have a strong and inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to follow their interests and be the best version of themselves and individual areas of study are actively encouraged.

We are at full capacity an 8 vet team enjoying extremely strong support from our 12 nurses (all qualified or currently training) and 12 strong reception/admin team. We all care passionately about working together to find the best solutions for our patients and believe that by everyone playing to their strengths and being encouraged to follow their individual interests, this can be achieved. This approach also allows us to look after each other and ensure we all grow professionally in a happy and supportive environment.

Applicant Requirements

The perfect fit for our team will be an enthusiastic and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for client care equal to their natural clinical drive. The ability to work well within a team, communicate effectively and practice good medicine are essential for this role. We actively encourage further development, complex case discussions and teamwork within the team.
