Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic are seeking a committed equine surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team of boarded surgeons, medics, sports medicine specialists and diagnostic imagers.

We are a strong knit team, and a willingness to support each other and “muck in” when needed, as well as having a sense of humour are essential requirements. You'll need to support the team of multi-disciplinary specialists at the clinic and to develop the surgery and orthopaedics / lameness services. We'll help you develop other niche areas of equine surgery where appropriate. In addition, you'll support our team of first opinion vets and be prepared to see some cases “on the road”. You will also be expected to help with formal and informal teaching and mentoring of visiting students and other team members including interns, residents, ambulatory vets and nurses.

We come fully equipped with the usual surgical facilities (including ASIF, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, scintigraphy, standing MRI, standing CT, etc). Excellent care for our patients is the principal on which we are founded, and we strive to follow the principles of evidence-based veterinary practice. We are also committed to clinical research, innovation and professional development.

You will need to have ECVS or ACVS board certification (or be board-eligible). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

We are willing to accept part-time / flexible applications from candidates who are returning to work.

Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic is located in the heart of Kent, close to mainline train stations for London, Gatwick Airport and the Channel Tunnel. We are part of the CVS Group, and we offer an appealing ‘specialist' package, including following salary and benefits:

  • Salary in the range of £80,000 - £100,000
  • Additional professional development fully supported and encouraged
  • 10 days CPD allowance and £2600 budget

  • Enhanced pension at 10% employer/ 5 % employee
  • Private healthcare for the family
  • Relocation allowance of up to 1 month's gross salary, repayable if you leave within a year
  • Specialist/ RCVS/ VDS fees paid
  • RCVS library membership
  • Sharesave scheme
  • Up to 7 weeks holiday with our buy and sell holiday scheme
  • Staff discount schemes
  • Industry leading maternity and paternity pay
  • Access to a range of flexible benefits through Perkbox.
