Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal

GVC are helping an independent veterinary practice based in Newcastle who are actively recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

You will be required to provide a high standard of surgical and medical treatment to all patients. Personality, empathy, and communication skills are as important as qualifications, with a wish to work up cases to a high standard. Interests in surgery very welcome. New graduates welcome to apply.

Details of the role:

• Permanent Vet Surgeon – Part-time considered
• Rota details: 4 days per week with 1:6 weekends – 5 days are available
• Open to locums – Ideally August/September start date
• Depending on experience and qualifications – Starting salary of £35,000
• Share on-call rota – with a long weekend offered (Friday or Monday off)
• CPD allowance and certificates funded
• Visa sponsorship available
• Accommodation and car available if required

• Relevant veterinary qualification from an accredited recognised by the RCVS
• Up to date CPD
• Relevant language skills - English
