The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly and proactive nurse to join our team at Sunninghill Veterinary Centre to help us continue providing excellent client care. Daily responsibilities may include;

  • Care of hospitalised inpatients
  • Surgical cases
  • Guiding less experienced staff members with their duties
  • Helping clients at reception or during nurse consultations

We would particularly like a nurse with an interest in dentistry who would like to take on extra responsibilities in this area.

A full-time position is 40 hours spread over a 4-day week; however, we are more than happy to accept part-time applicants. There is 1 night on duty to care for inpatients. The salary for this role is up to £32,000 FTE depending on experience.

About Us

Sunninghill Veterinary Centre is a lovely village practice with a loyal
client base. We are surrounded by vibrant towns and have easy access
to London, but there is still wonderful countryside all around to explore.

We have retained our family practice feel whilst building up the ability to look after many of our patients in-house. This is done with a great range of equipment, in-house orthopaedics, and virtual support from board-certified consultants. This has given nurses and vets greater satisfaction; clients are happy to be seen by familiar faces and the pets get to stay with their ‘friends’.

Our team is made up of 4 vets (ranging from 5 years to 23 years qualified), 1 of which is a surgery certificate holder, we have 2 veterinary nurses, 1 student nurse, 2 veterinary care assistants, 2 receptionists and 1 reception support.

Applicant Requirements

This role will suit an experienced and confident nurse who wants to make a difference. If you are proactive, you will be able to carve out your own niche at Sunninghill. Perhaps you want to take your study further and want to be more involved in particular areas of nursing.
