We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our practice at Medivet North Finchley! 

This is a clinical leadership position working closely with our Lead Vet and nursing team to deliver exceptional care and provide clinical coaching to support our a SVN in practice.

Salary and hours:

  • Salary £32,500 
  • Hours 40 per week with 1:6 weekends
  • Fair share of bank holiday cover with TOIL and minimal on-call duties

Key accountabilities:

In this role you will assist with financial and operational performance of your practice as well as the overall team performance and engagement.

You'll take pride in the delivery of exceptional clinical quality and care, encouraging a progressive clinical culture. And, ensure Medivet policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to by all of your team. 

You'll work closely with the Lead Vet as well as our wider teams to ensure the general smooth running of your practice, from Practice Standards to Health & Safety, and ensure things such as debt is managed and controlled and any complaints are dealt with appropriately. 

As a Head Nurse and Clinical Coach, you will develop and support your direct reports, holding one to ones and providing regular feedback on their performance.

From time to time you may need to assist your Area Manager with recruitment by meeting potential new team members during a practice visit, as well as taking action to create a positive environment that results in stable retention for your branch. 

Branch:

Medivet North Finchley has a small team made up of our Lead Vet and Student Nurse. 

It is located just a short drive away from our Hendon 24-Hour Hospital where we have access to the most advanced diagnostic techniques such as CT-scan and MRI but also digital X-ray, ultrasound, full inhouse lab and three surgical theatres. As well as access to their specialized services when it comes to more complex cases and procedures such as orthopaedics.

Medivet North Finchley is situated on the high street and has its own private parking spaces. You will have access to shops, cafes, supermarket and restaurants near the clinic and it is located just a 10 minute walk away from Woodside Underground on the Northern Line.
