Job Details
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon has arisen to join this state of the art Vet Hospital, in Stockport. With a salary of £65,000 and a 4 day week!
This Stockport Vet Hospital is looking to welcome a Senior Vet Surgeon to their large and enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly large team all with varying interests and levels of experience, including multiple certificate holders. The facilities are state of the art, with extensive equipment to allow for a high standard, emergency service.
The role itself will be both clinical and non clinical, meaning experience in leadership would be preferable but not essential as the role will involve both mentoring, leading and managing the A&E department. The role will be ideally full time, set over a 4 day week with a combination of both day and night work but the practice can be flexible on this to fit around your needs.
With a salary of £65,000 depending on both experience and the number of nights worked per month, this role can offer a wonderful opportunity for career development and a chance to work with a knowledgeable and progressive team.
Key Duties
- Lead and manage the A&E department based within the Vet Hospital
- Liaise with the senior management team
- Mixture of both clinical and non clinical work
- Mentor and give advice
- Help with escalated complaints and client feedback
- Promoting the service of the practice

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- Registered as a Vet Surgeon on the RCVS
- Ideally will hold a certificate in Emergency & Critical care or be close to completing
- Extensive experience in small animal practice
- Leadership skills and experience
- Fantastic communication skills
- Business skills and understanding (training will be provided)
