The Role
Here at Pool Farm Vets We are looking for a confident and friendly Veterinary Surgeon to join our team.
The role can be flexible for the right candidate but ideally someone willing to work between 20 and 40 hours per week. The weekends are shared equally on a 1 in 4 rota for Saturday morning consultations. The role will allow plenty of downtime for you to continue your hobbies.
The salary for the role is up to £45,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Pool Farm Vets are based in a very rural village called Betley which is
on the Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Shropshire border. The village has brilliant train links being only 10 minutes from Crewe station which means less than 2 hours to London and 3 hours 30 to Edinburgh. The surrounding area is beautiful with 2 SSSI's within a 5-minute drive. We have all the equipment you would need and expect and probably more.
We have a lovely, friendly, close-knit team of 3 Receptionists, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 6 Veterinary Surgeons. We have 2 certificate holders in the practice and so clinical work is performed to a high standard. Advice and guidance is always available from the more senior team members.
We hold a pet show (with an external judge!) at the Betley show each August and we have heavy involvement in the show each year.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a confident and friendly individual with an MRCVS who can practice medicine to a high standard. You should have good communication skills. Experience would be ideal but not essential for this role.
