The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon at our well-equipped first opinion, referral small animal and exotic Veterinary practice in Maidstone, Kent. The successful candidate will be working alongside our friendly team of qualified Vets, nurses, and animal care assistants to provide a high standard of care for our clients and hospital patients. Our vets see an exciting and varied exotics caseload and have the opportunity to continually develop their skills through an excellent CPD programme.

This is a full-time position (40-hour week) with weekends on a 1:4 rota basis and no OOH. The role would ideally be suitable for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in exotics or small animals looking for a new challenge in a supportive environment. Part time applications also considered.

Salary

Salary for the role is up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

We have a varied exotics caseload and work within a recently refurbished practice. Our CD is an Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine. We are well equipped with x-ray, ultrasound, dental, in house and idexx lab.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Vet with exotics and small animal experience. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, and have an organised and systematic approach when making decisions to be able to carry out the role efficiently. You will also maintain membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
