Job Details

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon certificate holder to join our busy practice in Wath, South Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will hold a certificate or currently studying towards, variety of specialisms considered! Funding can be provided for a certificate with potential to buy out of current training.

A client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills is a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard both medically and surgically. 

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. You will be working within well-equipped practice including digital x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy.

All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital, at Dearne Valley, where you will also have access to CT and mobile MRI scanner.

We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice. You will work closely with other experienced vets.

The role is working 4 days per week and 1 in 6 weekends. 

  • Salary Package up to £60,000 per annum (FTE)

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Skills and experience:

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Medivet Wath is located on Doncaster road just off the A633. The practice is easily accessible with Mexborough, Swinton interchange train station walking distance from the practice and they have onsite parking.

The large practice is equipped with the latest technology, including ECG, In-house lab, ultrasound, orthopaedic and operating theatre. As well as our in-house services at Medivet Wath, you’ll also get access to all the services available across the entire Medivet group.
