Job Description

“The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They look after me as well as my pet, and know her full history. She can’t wait to get into the surgery to see them, which to me speaks volumes about their approach to her”. Our clients love us and we think that you will too!

Here at our small animal training practice in Epsom, we’re looking for a Head Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team on a permanent basis.

About us:

We are based inside a busy Pets at Home store offering free onsite parking and ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7 minute walk of Epsom train station. The practice offers a range of state
of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards.

You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 2 vets, 3RVNs, 1 Practice Manager, 1 SVN, 1 VCA and 2 receptionists all trying to make a difference to our clients by offering exceptional client care with community at our core.

I am Lenesa Govender the lead vet and joint venture partner of Epsom Vets4Pets. I opened the practice in 2016, bringing with me 18 years of experience as a vet, mainly in senior roles. I have a passion for learning and keeping my knowledge up to date and thoroughly encourage and support the same in my hugely talented and caring team. Being a JVP has really motivated my passion for client bonding, and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients and almost becoming a part of their family. This is the main ethos of Epsom Vets4Pets, we genuinely treat our pets as if they were our own.

About you:

We are seeking an ambitious RVN looking to take the next step in their career. The role is suitable for newly qualified RVN's and Senior level RVN's. The succesful candidate should have great communication and organisation skills and takes pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about the practice as a business as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals.

You will be confident with all general nursing duties including the running of nurse clinics and ideally have experience of and enjoy coaching and mentoring student nurses.

We are offering flexible hours (1 in 4 weekends) and no OOH, which will give the succesful candidate a great work-life balance, which we actively promote, knowing how important it is for a happy workplace!

We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and in return for your hard work we can also offer you:

  • Dedicated CPD allowance
  • Competitive salary – negotiable depending on experience
  • No OOH
  • Company pension
  • Paid memberships (BVNA, RCVS, VDS)
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Exclusive high street, online and company discounts (inc 20% off Pets at Home)

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
