An exciting opportunity has become available for a Small Animal Vet to join the team at our RCVS accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in Manchester.
Petmedics is a large 24-hour veterinary hospital, staffed by a truly superb clinical team of 35 veterinary surgeons, 35 nurses and 11 PCAs, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients.
We are looking for a confident and experienced hospital vet. You will be joining a team of 4 other hospital vets, excellent nursing staff and auxiliary support to provide high standard in-patient care. The role would suit a general practitioner who has a good balance of medical and surgical skills. Alongside the hospital, we offer Certificate-Led Referrals so you would also have the additional support of eleven certificate holders.
At PetMedics we have a large waiting room (with a separate cat waiting room) and our facilities include - 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, a dedicated intensive care unit, digital X-ray, CT scanner, multiple ultrasound scanners, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house laboratory (including blood gases). We are IFSM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic.
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, made up of 4 days per week, with 1 in 4 weekends. Although flexible working can be considered and encouraged. There is no sole charge or night work required.
