This post will be fixed term for two years in the first instance. However,
it is anticipated that this will become a permanent post following this initial period.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Nurse educator to join Aberystwyth School of Veterinary Science (ASVS) to lead the design and development of a new degree in Veterinary Nursing. 

We are looking for a skilled individual to bring their expertise to design an exceptional, ground-breaking degree programme and associated curriculum  that draws on contemporary practice, research and inno-vative pedagogy. You will be expected to provide academic leadership for the development, accredited approval and staffing of the new Veterinary Nursing degree.    

The post-holder will be expected to take the lead for the development of the Veterinary Nursing curriculum and the submission for Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accreditation. The appointee will take on the role of Veterinary Nursing scheme co-ordinator, leading curriculum developments, delivering core teaching, liaising with other cognate departments internally and externally to the University and contributing to recruitment and marketing activities.

In addition, they will pursue opportunities to conduct relevant high-quality research in their field through internal and external collaboration and by making applications to external funding bodies. They will contribute to administration and management within the ASVS and at Faculty and University level where appropriate.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with an established teaching profile and experience in curriculum design and/or development. Research experience is highly desirable.
