The Role

Our longstanding and appreciated colleague is travelling to see the
world and we are therefore looking for a full-time first opinion General Practitioner to join our friendly and happy team. The role will entail small animal clinical work including a mix of consults and surgery. 

Rota: Full-time, 4 days per week 8:30 am – 6:00 pm with one hour for lunch. 

OOH: 1 weekend in 4 (additional pay)

Salary: up to €50K DOE plus benefits.

About Us

Fully equipped, expanding small animal practice providing full surgical and medical care in a friendly, caring, stress-free environment with three experienced vets and four veterinary nurses.

We provide full dermatology work ups, laparoscopic neutering, and some orthopaedic work which we intend to expand further. Our facilities include digital Xray, full lab facilities, and well stocked pharmacy.

We are a friendly caring group of animal lovers with excellent team spirit, and we operate an OOH emergency on-call service with the neighbouring practice.

Located in Killarney town is constantly rated one of the most beautiful and desirable locations to live in Ireland with mountains lakes wonderful trails golf and some of the best restaurants in Ireland.

We are a team of 3 vets, and 4 excellent and experienced nurses who get on really well and have a happy workplace.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a third Veterinary Surgeon to join our team, in a first opinion practice with full medical and surgery facilities. Our ideal candidate demonstrates a minimum of two years clinical experience. Competency in small animal surgery, and confidence to deal with varied clinical caseloads and general surgery. Orthopaedic experience would be an advantage but not essential. We encourage and pay for CPD, as well as enjoy group discussions on case management. Most importantly you will be a team player as we have a happy, stress-free work environment where we support and help each other and enjoy working together as a team.
