The Role

Mercer and Hughes, Bocking are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated registered veterinary nurse to join their team in a senior branch nurse role. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced, fun-loving team of nurses, assistants, receptionists, and vets who are always helpful, friendly, and supportive. There is so much variety, with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and to help the new branch evolve.
We take pride in providing high standards of patient care and are looking for a proactive individual to help maintain this.

This position is full-time however we can be flexible, we are looking for someone to work 40 hours across 5 days per week, between 9 am-5:30 pm Monday to Friday, 1:8 full weekends 7:30 am-7:30 pm with a day off in lieu, 1:10 on-call weekends and 1 bank holiday per year. We offer a competitive salary for this position of up to £30,000 based on experience.

About Us

We are a well-established veterinary hospital with 3 additional branches in North Essex. We are within extremely easy reach of Cambridge, London and Stansted airport, and close to all amenities as well as town and transport links, not to mention the beautiful countryside right on our doorstep.

This position will be based at our Bocking branch which offers a great purpose-built working space with a separate dog and cat ward, an in-house laboratory, modern theatre and x-ray with ample off road parking.

About the Team and Culture

You will be joining a team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons with a diverse range of interests and expertise and 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses and Student Veterinary Nurses. We have a number of visiting specialists in cardiology, ophthalmology, and ultra-sonography, enabling us to work cases up to a high standard in-house. We also have consultation helpers to assist with holding animals in consults and cleaning.
